Buy a roll of tickets to be used for the drawing. There are several different types of entries, the best for the 50/50 raffles are bought in a big roll and have two entries with matching serial numbers printed side by side. You will give one side (ticket) to the buyer and the other side will be placed in a container for the drawing. Rolls of tickets can be purchased from carnival supply companies or party supply stores.

Advertise your 50/50 raffle through posters, flyers and walk and talks. Always put a date and end time for the winner to be drawn on your posters.

Many of the 50/50 raffle tickets are sold for $1 per ticket. Another idea is to sell 16 tickets for $10 or 7 tickets for $5. The more tickets sold means the larger the amount earned when the winning ticket is drawn.

Draw the winning ticket at the scheduled time. Announce the winning serial number. To make it easier; many organizers require the winner to be in attendance for the drawing. Present the winner with exactly 50 percent of the money.
